My update is a little late this week, and it'll be a brief one. I have just returned from a trip to New Orleans to visit the National World War II Museum. I had always wanted to go, but I kept putting it off. Man, am I glad I went.
I want to take a minute to encourage all of you to visit this unbelievable museum. I have been to many, many museums in my life. I have to say this is the most unique experience I have had. From the different exhibits to the interactive displays to the artifacts, I was blown away. I wish I could have spent an entire week there. If you have the slightest interest in learning more about this conflict, I would recommend visiting. It's also near the French Quarter and tons of great restaurants.
I saw many young people experiencing this museum, and they loved it. However, I was touched when I saw the World War II veterans, who have free admission, treated so well and with such reverence. If any World War II veteran is reading this, I want you to know we all appreciate what you did. I hope you know what it means to us. We are so very thankful.
Today, it's back to work for me. I'll be writing and making tweaks to the two manuscripts I have in the proofreading stage. Expect more detailed updates shortly.
For now, have a great end of the week.
